BENIFITS OF HONEY

                          Benefits of honey

# Honey gives your immune system a little extra push. It's full of antioxidants, vitamins, and minerals, and that can help your defences work better overall. When you consume honey consistently, it may also help stop infections and illnesses before they get going.

# It also helps with a sore throat; it has antibacterial properties that can calm the throat down and reduce coughing. And yes, it can ease that annoying feeling from throat inflammation too.

# For digestion, honey contains enzymes that help digestion run smoother, and it can reduce constipation. A simple trick is taking a teaspoon of honey in warm water; that way, it can help settle your stomach.

# There’s also the anti-inflammatory side of things. Honey has anti-inflammatory properties, so it may help lower inflammation in the body. People often say it can help with symptoms related to conditions like arthritis and asthma, especially when honey is part of a regular routine.

# If we’re talking about wounds, honey acts kind of like a barrier. It has antiseptic and antibacterial qualities that can support wound healing. Using honey topically on wounds can help reduce the risk of infection and speed things up a bit.

# Honey can even support energy levels. Since it's a natural source of carbohydrates, it can give the body a quick energy kick. Having honey before exercise can help with performance and endurance, too.

# And sleep? Honey may help you rest easier. It can support sleep quality by encouraging melatonin release, the hormone that helps regulate sleep. So, taking honey before bedtime might help you fall asleep sooner and improve how well you sleep.

# Still, honey is not a free-for-all. It's high in sugar, so consume it in moderation. Also, infants under one year should not have honey, because there is a risk of infant botulism.
